I washed a couple hundred holds in an acid wash, without gloves once. That stuff does a number on your hands, especially if you have ANY, even small wounds. stingy!
I took some holds off my home wall today. I soaked them for about 10 minutes in a solution of one part white vinegar, one part water, and a squirt of liquid soap. They came out very clean, and I was able to wipe away any remaining rubber with my thumb. This is bio-friendly, can be put down the drain, will not change the hold texture, and will not burn your skin!
If you're gonna get wet a $150 power washer from home depot is the best solution IMO, no nasty chemicals and perfectly clean holds.

It's supposed to be biodegradable so hopefully no nasty chemicals

ReplyDeletei'd like to test this stuff, I run a hold review site and it could be very interesting!!
ReplyDeleteI tried Benky (300 holds) and found it didn't work anywhere near as good as expected and was extremely costly as well. Won't be going back!
