Here is a video of me falling off the very last hard move on There Will be Blood at Flagstaff. The problem has since broken and I will check out the remains soon.
I think it will go in some reasonable facsimile of the original. I see the fragility at Flag as part of the challenge. The rock is so textured that there's almost always something that can replace a broken hold.
Just a question on the beta: I know the low, large foot rail is off, but whats up with the hands? Are the only two crimps that are 'on' the two you used above the start hold?

Ben showed us the problem on Sat. did a hold break after then? Nice vision by the way, had fun on it.
Seth Allred and ALex Manikowski got on it. Alex apparently broke it.
ReplyDeletethe colorado choss is so frustrating! ya spend time and vital fluid working out a hard line, you triumpth, then it breaks. RAGE! does it still go?

ReplyDeleteI looked at the breakage this afternoon. The starting left hold is much smaller but is still usable so the problem is not substantially changed.

ReplyDeleteThat's correct and the left one is much smaller now making the problem a lot harder.
